We’re excited to announce a dynamic new collaboration between the Heller Fundraising Group and Frailty Myths, recently spotlighted by the Yale Alumni Nonprofit Alliance (YANA). This partnership highlights our shared commitment to fostering equity, resilience, and justice, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of this incredible journey!

After participating in YANA’s Nonprofit Mentorship Program, Frailty Myths sought our expertise to propel their groundbreaking capital campaign forward. This inspiring nonprofit is led by women, queer, and people of color (POC), all dedicated to empowering underrepresented communities and challenging oppressive narratives.

The Vision: Building the Frailty Myths Oasis

Frailty Myths is on a mission to create the Frailty Myths Oasis, a transformative community learning center in the Bay Area. This innovative space will become a vital hub for racial, gender, and climate justice, offering a place where individuals can connect, learn, and take action.

At its core, the Frailty Myths Oasis will provide:

• Community-building opportunities that uplift marginalized voices

• Leadership development for individuals facing systemic challenges

• Workshops and resources that foster resilience and self-empowerment

Our Role: Fundraising Experts Dedicated to Success

At the Heller Fundraising Group, we bring together a team of fundraising experts who have extensive experience in helping nonprofits achieve ambitious goals. With a staff of seven and a network of 25 specialized consultants, we are equipped to offer a wide range of services to support our partners, including capital campaign strategy, fundraising training, and feasibility studies.

Our consultants are experienced professionals with deep knowledge of the nonprofit sector, each bringing a unique perspective and expertise. By collaborating with Frailty Myths, we’re able to provide the strategic guidance and fundraising tools necessary to help them realize their vision for the Frailty Myths Oasis.

What are we actually doing to support this campaign? Glad you asked. We use our 6 Elements of Campaign Success to guide Frailty Myths to their fundraising goal.

The specific actions we take with them are:

• Train client on all aspects of campaign and major gift fundraising

• Create a timeline of consultant activities

• Create a calendar of client’s annual fundraising activities and metrics of action

• Support outreach to network of prospects

• Consistent focus on cultivation and solicitation of gifts towards goal
